Does anyone  know why there is a J and a B on the pillars on the High Priestess?

The B and J on the High Priestess Card stand for Boaz and Jachin, the Pillars that stood at the entrance to Solomons Temple in Jerusalem, all mysteries of being. Solomon named them after influential people in the bible who had a direct baring on him. Boaz stands for Strength. Jachin (Pronounced Jay-chin) Stands for Stable Foundations, Beginning.  These pillars appear in Masonic Temples world wide.

I am running a beginners course to the Tarot Starting on the 3rd of August, where we will discuss each cards, it's symbolism and the different meaning the card can denote depending where it sits in a spread. I keep meaning to look this up and never get round to it! Thanks. I love the stories you tell about the cards. I've learned more Greek Myths and more about Norse Gods from my readings than I did at school! Can you or anyone else tell me why is Death in my pack on a horse?

Death is on a white horse because he's one of the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse and his horse is called Binky. Binky can fly. Hope that helps X

Seriously, I'd love to learn the meaning of the symbols in the tarot. Especially why there are such similarities between the packs but some of the cards are completely different.

Kara forgot to mention that Death also has a grandaughter called Susan... Ahhh, that's where she gets it from!!!

LOL! This is true, she's a governess and has  certain way with the monsters under the bed   Is there a tiny rat shaped skeleton on the Death card?

If you look under Binky there is  wee boat with a red sail... That's Death of Rats boat...
