Feel Great and Lose Weight! Lose a Stone for Easter!

 Many of you worry about weight that just won't shift. It can be frustrating, uncomfortable and down right depressing.

Whither it is baby weight , which can be difficult to lose when you have your hands full with small children or no time to eat right or exercise, or just got stuck in a rut, having someone to talk it over with can make all the difference. So I'm starting our own free weight loss club right here on Tarotlive.org! 

The secret is all things in moderation and to make it fun!

This is not a diet, it's a way of thinking and making small changes that will become habitual, losing the weight, feeling great and keeping in shape.

Week 1

So here's some practicle tips to kick start week 1...


1. Have a clear out and throw away the snacks! Don't try to eat them all then start eating healthy tomorrow, do it today!


2. Cut carrots into sticks and apples into slices, When you feel snackish, scoff some crunchy carrots!, Keep them in the fridge so they're always handy.


3. Stop eating off the kids plates. If they leave something then it goes in the bin.


4. Don't tell them they're eatng healthy, just put it in front of them and smile! Ignore any negatives. When there's no rubbish in the house there's no temptation and you will feel happier and slimmer.


5. Make exercise fun! Play seesaw with the kids: You sit on the floor and child sits on your legs facing you. Hold hands and seesaw back and forth singing see saw, margery Daw... Fantastic for your tummy! Physical games make the whole family happy, give you an endorphine rush and tire the kids out so they sleep at night. the children also feel they are gtting your undivided attention during the day so they are happier to go to bed on time and sleep right through. Get the whole family to play a ball game together at least twice a week.

No kids? You have to make time to get out and get your heart pumping! Anything from a DVD to a good long hike. Half an hour of hard breathing exercise daily or at least 1 hour a day 4 days a week will get the weight moving and strengthen your heart and pull it all in!

6. When the others are in playgroup or nursery, take the baby for a good long walk. Walk fast so you are breathing hard. Half an hour of fast walking will strip the weight off in no time!


7. Get rid of fizzy juice. Even diet drinks make you fat because they make you crave sweet things and affect your sleep making you bad tempered and sluggish. Have some fresh fruit juice with water and ice, very refreshing and great for your skin! Pineapple juice is much better for your metabolic rate than orange.


8. Eat breakfast! It kick starts your metabolism and gives you good fat burning energy for the rest of the day. If you don't like cerial, try a sandwich with weight watchers Danish bread with a little Helmans light mayo and ham or chicken. A thin scrape of mayo gives that extra taste and moisture without the loaded calories of butter. Make a pot of vegetable soup with a stock cube, leeks and potatoe or butternut squash and have it for luch and a bowl before dinner. Stay off the bread.


9. Cut down on starchy carbs such as potatoes, rice, pasta and chips, these store fat. They are fine in small amounts such as 2 small potatoes or one normal one per day or 2 oz of rice or pasta but you probably eat a lot more than that. Watch your portions. Put more vege in your diet. Make stews and chilli and pad it out wth peas, turnip, etc.


10. Having said all that, weight has little to do with what you eat compared to how you feel about you and how much control you have of your happiness. A positive attitude will lift your spirits and give you more energy to burn off extra fat. More to the point, your destiny is in your hands and you have a right to happiness. Remember the things you really love doing? Dancing, seeing your friends, interests you used to have? Start reintroducing them to your life. you need some time for you too. Don't be afraid to ask family and friends and your partner to look after the kids so you can go to an aerobics class or join a belly dancng class and go for a drink with the girls afterwards. We all deserve some fun and being us from time to time.

Print this out and stick it to the fridge.
Weigh yourself today, then at the same time next week. Try to weigh yourself in the morning before you shower and do the same on the same day next week.
Do not weigh yourself inbetween.


If you lose 8kg by April think how much better you will feel? So your target is to lose 4 kg this month, that's 1 Kg a week. That is a healthy weight loss that will stay off.

Stick to the 10 points above and let me know how you are doing next week and drink as much water as you like. If you feel hungry, have a glass of water... if you still feel hungry 15 mins later then have something to eat! We often eat when we're really thristy.

OK? So weigh yourself as soon as you read this, message me your weight, then go for it. You're gonna have a great week, loadsa fun and you are not going to look at those scales until this day next week.
